
The MS Student Council is hosting a MS Movie Night for any Ithaca Middle School Students today in the Multipurpose Room. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and close at 6:15 p.m. for the movie to start. Once the doors close no one will be allowed in or out. Plan to be picked up by 8 p.m. Drinks and snacks will be provided.

This event is free for all Ithaca students, adults and their friends and family members even if they don't go to Ithaca. Mandy Zajicek Brewer, a 1993 graduate from Ithaca High School, was recently diagnosed with Parkinson's and is unable to work any longer. The Ithaca Lions will host a pancake breakfast fundraiser for Mandy on Sunday, February 6 from 7 AM - 1 PM in the Ithaca School Commons. Costs are: Kids 5 and under free, Kids 6-12 will be $5, and ages 13 to adult will be $8. The menu will consist of pancakes (gluten free on request), ham, scrambled eggs, cheese, coffee, and white and chocolate milk. Sugar free syrup will also be available.

After its soft landing, the circular capsule opened like a flower, deploying its antennas, and began transmitting photographs and television images back to Earth. Mandy Zajicek Brewer, a 1993 graduate from Ithaca High School, was recently diagnosed with Parkinson's and is unable to work any longer. The Ithaca Lions will host a pancake breakfast fundraiser for Mandy on Sunday, February 6 from 7 AM - 1 PM in the Ithaca School Commons. Costs are: Kids 5 and under free, Kids 6-12 will be $5, and ages 13 to adult will be $8. The menu will consist of pancakes (gluten free on request), ham, scrambled eggs, cheese, coffee, and white and chocolate milk. Sugar free syrup will also be available. Please come show your support for a community member in need!

February is CTE month. What is CTE? It is career and technical education and includes business education, ag education, tech education and family consumer education. The CTE department has a fun month planned with dress up days, trivia and games during lunch time. Stay tuned to the announcements and watch for flyers with more information.

The PTSO is sponsoring a Free Ithaca Family and Friends Swim Day on Sunday, February 6 from 1-4 PM at Symons Recreation Complex at UW-Richland. This event is free for all Ithaca students, adults and their friends and family members even if they don't go to Ithaca. The MS Student Council is hosting a MS Movie Night for any Ithaca Middle School Students on February 4, 2022 in the Multipurpose Room. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and close at 6:15 p.m. for the movie to start. Once the doors close no one will be allowed in or out. Plan to be picked up by 8 p.m. Drinks and snacks will be provided.

All orders forms must be turned in by the end of the day on January 28 to Mrs. Hilby. Elementary's sent home and MS/HS in the office or outside Room 204. This Day in History: The Space Shuttle Challenger Explodes After Liftoff At 11:38 a.m. EST, on January 28, 1986, the space shuttle Challenger lifts off from Cape Canaveral, Florida, and Christa McAuliffe is on her way to becoming the first ordinary U.S. civilian to travel into space. McAuliffe, a 37-year-old high school social studies teacher from New Hampshire, won a competition that earned her a place among the seven-member crew of the Challenger. She underwent months of shuttle training but then, beginning January 23, was forced to wait six long days as the Challenger‘s launch countdown was repeatedly delayed because of weather and technical problems.
