It's an Early Release Day tomorrow! This is a reminder for all families that tomorrow our middle and high school students are released at 12:30pm and elementary release for pick up will begin at 12:15pm.

Ithaca School District has one positive student covid case in the high school. (9/14/2021) If your child was considered a close contact, you have already been contacted either by email or phone by the school nurse. (please check your email)
September is Suicide Awareness month. Research shows people who are having thoughts of suicide feel relief when someone asks after them in a caring way. Findings suggest acknowledging and talking about suicide may reduce rather than increase suicidal ideation. Ask a friend or loved one how they are doing (and really listen)--it makes a difference!

May we never forget.
On September 11, 2001, nearly 3,000 people died in terroristic attacks on our nation. As we remember the events that unfolded that day, may we never forget.
Never forget the lives lost. Never forget the heroism of everyday Americans. Never forget the bravery and sacrifice of countless law enforcement officers, search and rescue handlers and animals, fire and emergency servicemen and women. Never forget the search and rescue teams, handlers and animals. Never forget the military servicemen and women who sprang into action to respond, are still responding.
Never forget the intense feeling of patriotism that resulted of that terrible day.
On the 20th anniversary of that day, let us honor our Americans who were lost by taking some time today and daily to remember their sacrifices.
Never forget.

You can help Ithaca Public Schools earn money and resources! It only takes 5 minutes! Did you know that completing an application for the Free and Reduced Meals program creates statistics that Ithaca may use to apply for grants and qualify for additional programs and resources? Only one district employee sees the applications, and that is only to enter the data. All information is kept confidential. Yes, breakfasts and lunches are free to all students this year, but we still need families to complete and submit the application forms. Use the fillable pdf application or handwrite to complete the forms. Place completed applications in an envelope if you’d prefer to send to school with your student or mail in completed applications to Ithaca School District Attn: Free and Reduced Meals 24615 State Hwy 58 Richland Center, WI 53581. https://dpi.wi.gov/sites/default/files/imce/school-nutrition/doc/free-reduced-meal-application.doc

September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month — a time to raise awareness on this stigmatized, and often taboo, topic. In addition to shifting public perception, we use this month to spread hope and vital information to people affected by suicide.
If you or someone you know needs support, call the Suicide Hotline at 1-800-273-8255, or text "hopeline" to 741741, for text support (both are staffed 24 hours a day).
If there are any Ithaca students wanting to join Trap Team there is still some time left! You have till Sept. 13 to get registered. If interested give Jerry Larrabee a call at 608/960-7010. Information is also available from Jason Roh or Kelly Feryance.
