The School District of Ithaca will hold an election of school board members for the School Board of said district on April 5, 2022, being the first Tuesday in April, at the same time with the same municipal election hours and the same polling places used for the elections held in the various municipalities lying wholly or partially within the School District. There will also be a referendum question concerning the use and future existence of the Ithaca Community Gymnasium, owned by the Ithaca School District. The need for blood product donations continues to be at high levels. Our very own student, Ben Huebsch has been a recipient of blood products as part of his journey with Burkitt's Lymphoma. Ithaca has some talented authors! The local Delta Kappa Gamma chapter recognized local winners, and we couldn't be prouder to share our list of Ithaca students selected to receive awards. Congratulations! In 1985, Wisconsin established the Mary Jo Nettesheim Literary Competition. Over the years, grades 3-12 and a bilingual Spanish section were added, with Illustrator Awards being added in 1990. At this time, Wisconsin’s State Organization is the only state in the Delta Kappa Gamma International Organization to sponsor a Literary Competition. Each local DKG chapter judges the original fiction and/or enhanced personal narrative books based on Story Structure/Organization, Creativity/ Originality, accomplished spelling, sentence structure and grammar, as well as Presentation/Illustrations.
