Today is Children's Mental Health Awareness Day. We see the child first, the struggle second, but the struggle is real. We support our children, whatever challenges they face!
Mr. Mani, Ms. Durkin, and the senior class would like to thank Susan Bloczynski for making the senior banners, Mrs. Prouty and Mr. Lechnir for helping provide the resources to make this happen, and Steve Louis, Jody Louis, Greg Olson, and Aaron Nelson for hanging these banners for the seniors. In honor of the seniors, we will light up the scoreboard every Friday night this month at sunset. Thank you all during this difficult time.
Logan Clary celebrates his birthday today, May 7th. A very special Happy Birthday to you!
Time for a Throwback Thursday picture. We travel back to the 1999 Ithaconian for some Track and Field memories. Tag team members from 1999. This is from 21 years ago. How is this possible?
Fourth Graders work on creating their own Coat of Arms in art class. Here are some completed projects from Rhiya and Dalton.
The Food Service Survey for next week is now open! Be sure to sign up for this FREE meal option that provides anyone 18 years of age and younger with breakfast and lunch. All students and residents of the Ithaca School District qualify regardless of financial situation. See our website and app under the "News" tab for the "Food Service Survey" article. Complete the survey listed there by Friday, May 8th.
In social studies, fourth grade students created dioramas representing the early Native American groups and their Wisconsin environments. Students studied about the homes, environment, food, and cultural traditions of these people. These early groups inhabited Wisconsin from 10,000 B.C. to 1200 A.D. The Paleo, Archaic, Woodland, Mississippian, Oneota groups are represented in the dioramas that were displayed in the library.
See the Mini-Monet's that are our students. Starry Night inspired Zander, Rainey, Maddix, and their family to create their own art. Addyson recreated Water Lillies. Cameron drew his own Starry Night. Abby drew Monet's Pond. What beautiful art!
Band Students! The Yankee Candle Fundraiser items are still available to be picked up TODAY Tuesday, May 5, 1:30 - 3:30 pm. When you pick them up, please drive into the high school parking lot and go to the band room door that leads outside. Please only 1 person at a time at the door and Mrs. Behrens will hand your order out to you.
Our students spread so much May Day cheer on Friday! Little Bulldog Clara hit up her neighborhood. Shayla and Brennan also made May Day baskets to pass out. Zander, Rainey, and Maddix spread some May Day cheer around, too.
More wonderful art to share from our talented Bulldogs! Deegan completed his cup weavings. Shayla recreated an under the sea environment. Owen used Georgia O'Keefe to inspire him. Emma created woven art.

If you forgot to sign up for the food program distribution next week, it's still open today, Sat., May 2nd. This is a great program to support our food program, the many layers of the food supply chain, and it could keep those kids from asking what's for lunch a million times and eating all your snacks. Find the link to the survey on our website or app under the "News" tab in the "Food Service Survey" article. You must complete a new survey each week. Help us reach a new record!
Ira Coppernoll and Conner Montes celebrate their birthday today, May 2nd. Happy Birthday to you both! Enjoy the weekend. You all deserve it!
May 1st is also School Lunch Hero Day! We want to honor the food service staff who tirelessly prepare meals for our students. During the closure, they have been assembling meals for our pick up program. This week, they set a milestone with preparing meals for 244 students. They have a few extras ready each day, so that total for meals was 490! You read that right! Thank you everyday, but especially thank you for promoting healthy eating, promoting our food program, and sustaining the many layers of our food supply chain. Thank you School Lunch HEROES!
Today is May Day! And for our final day of Virtual Spirit Week, it's take a paper flower to a neighbor. Yesterday was Hat Day. Deegan wore the luck of the Irish. You can hardly see Scout under her pretty hat. Rhiya "bear-ly" got into her hat. Juliet is ready for her day of work.
