Please remember that all students, regardless of grade level, need a parent note to ride a bus home with another student. The note needs to be brought to the school office and the student needs to get a bus permission slip to give to the bus driver. No exceptions will be made for this.

Popcorn Friday will be this Friday, January 10. Elementary students, your classroom teacher will take your order and money. Ithaca has 16 Middle and High School Band students participating in the Conference Honors Band on Friday and Saturday, January 10 & 11, at Mineral Point High school. The students will rehearse with other students from 10 schools and will be directed by guest conductors. They will perform in a concert on Saturday at 4:00 pm. The community is invited to attend the concert. Admission is $5.

Ithaca-Weston High School Wrestling recently honored their seniors at the home triangular. Seniors Kayden Coleman, Mac Neefe, and Nolen Waldner were recognized for their commitment to the wrestling program. Coach Troy Clary thanked them for their hard work, leadership, and dedication to their wrestling careers and teammates.
The weather is cold! Each day, we consider the wind chill, and if safe to do so, we go outside. Students need fresh air and to run around. Please be sure to always send winter gear: Snow pants, Winter coat, Stocking hat, Gloves, Winter boots.
To make sure your child has the items you send, take a minute and write their first or last name on each item. Then when we find items, we can get them to the right student. We know how expensive these things are.
If you are in need of these items for your child, please call me directly at 608-585-2311. There are many generous community members who help us provide needed items for any child regardless of financial situation.

Our Elementary Bulldogs have been working at learning the National Anthem during music class as inspired by senior Mr. Ben Huebsch. Students see and hear him sing at various athletic events, and they asked him to help them learn it. Last night at the High School wrestling triangular, these Bulldogs joined Mr. Huebsch in their debut singing the National Anthem. They did a fantastic job and are looking forward to performing for you again soon!

The mentoring R.I.S.E program has been underway at Ithaca. Our very own high school students have volunteered to mentor our young bulldogs through the year. One of our big highlights in December was the students gathered and had an eventful and creative baking session together. This was a huge success! There was a lot of excitement, laughter, and delicious banana bread was made. Most students were able to take their homemade bread home to enjoy over the holiday break. This kind of hands-on, enjoyable experience is sure to have made a positive impact on everyone involved!

The Ithaca High School Student Council held their annual Passages Food Drive. During our last week before Christmas break each class was challenged to see how many non-perishable food items they could donate. We are happy to report that we collected over 500 food items! The top two classes were Kindergarten and 3rd grade- BOTH classes will be receiving a pizza party! The effort from all was a wonderful example of community spirit and teamwork, and the Ithaca Bulldogs made a positive impact this holiday season.

We set up time with the cute little kindergarteners to read stories.

Ithaca youth girls will be participating in a Fun Day Tournament at Weston on Saturday, January 4th. We will have 3 teams in it: a 2nd grade team, a 3rd grade team, and a 5th grade team. The 2nd grade team will be made up of a mixture of 1st and 2nd graders, the 3rd grade team will be a mixture of 2nd and 3rd graders, and the 5th grade team will be a mixture of 4th and 5th graders. It runs from 8 AM to 11:30 AM. We will share the schedule when we receive it. We will also send another announcement out on who will be on what team once we know more. We will not have practice that day. They will have concessions available, and it costs $2 for admission.
