You can help Ithaca Public Schools earn money and resources! It only takes 5 minutes! Did you know that completing an application for the Free and Reduced Meals program creates statistics that Ithaca may use to apply for grants and qualify for additional programs and resources? Only one district employee sees the applications, and that is only to enter the data. All information is kept confidential. Yes, breakfasts and lunches are free to all students this year, but we still need families to complete and submit the application forms. Use the fillable pdf application or handwrite to complete the forms. Place completed applications in an envelope if you’d prefer to send to school with your student or mail in completed applications to Ithaca School District Attn: Free and Reduced Meals 24615 State Hwy 58 Richland Center, WI 53581. https://dpi.wi.gov/sites/default/files/imce/school-nutrition/doc/free-reduced-meal-application.doc

September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month — a time to raise awareness on this stigmatized, and often taboo, topic. In addition to shifting public perception, we use this month to spread hope and vital information to people affected by suicide. If you or someone you know needs support, call the Suicide Hotline at 1-800-273-8255, or text "hopeline" to 741741, for text support (both are staffed 24 hours a day).

Like last year, we are continuing to use family name cards in vehicle windows as part of our pick up process. Elementary students who are picked up at the end of the day will have a family name card in their "take home" folder. This card should be placed in your vehicle's front window to help our staff better identify your vehicles, helping to expedite the pick up process. Thank you all, again, for helping us to make your students' days happy and safe.

Hello to our Ithaca Family!! PTSO will be selling spirit items and apparel at the Open House/picture night tonight (August 26) in the gym from 4-8 PM. Several new items this year including car stickers, magnets, yard signs and a new type of water bottle that has a place for kids to put their name on with a Sharpie marker. We are still selling neck gaiters, but in the event we all need to mask up, they are NOT an acceptable form of masking at school. But they have so many other uses and they're pretty cool so buy one anyway! See you tonight!
