Today is January 5th. Due to poor road conditions, Ithaca has a two hour delay. No Morning 4K.

To start the new year, Kindergarten-5th grade students in Mrs. Zorea's Library classes reflected on learning goals. Each student chose a goal they wanted to achieve in school between now and the end of the school year. Goals ranged from finishing all their work in class to singing with Mrs. Niemeyer in music class even if they feel shy to reading 20 books. Helping students create learning goals helps them take greater ownership of their learning. Way to go elementary students!

Yesterday, Ithaca's vet science class visited Century Oaks Livestock to learn how to process pigs. They ear notched, vaccinated, and clipped tails on a whole litter! They learned about proper biosecurity, sanitation practices, and proper methods to maintain a healthy herd!
