On April 17, local author, Tim Fox visited the Ithaca School District. During the day, Tim met with our fourth and fifth grade students. Reading Specialist, Andrea Newkirk, also held an evening presentation for her Family Literacy Event. During this presentation, Tim taught our families about the three books he has written, his writing process and inspirations, and Wisconsin Ice Age animals and geographic features. He also highlighted his latest book which is titled, Journeys 2 An Ice Age Rescue. The grand finale of the evening presentation was when he created a life size mastodon. Thank you to all the families that attended the event, and a special thank you to the staff and administration that assisted with this event. Lastly, a huge thank you to the Ithaca PTSO for providing a meal before the evening presentation and purchasing one of Tim’s books for each family that attended the presentation.
