Are you a junior or senior that may have some free time in the mornings? Want to earn some money and credits as a TA or volunteer? Ithaca Public Schools are in need of reliable junior and/or senior students to help on bus routes in the morning assisting with taking temperatures and documenting. This position would earn $9/hour for roughly two hours per day. Personal protective equipment would be provided, and some cleaning duties may be involved. Interested students must be in good academic standing and be able to get to school in the morning before bus routes begin. Anyone under the age of 18 must have parent/guardian approval. The Ithaca Lions will be having a Brat sale at the WCCU in Richland Center on Friday, August 7th to raise money for our Stuff The Bus fundraiser for the Ithaca School. They will be serving brats, hot dogs, chips, soda, and water. There will also be bars and cookies for sale.
Their 3rd annual Stuff the Bus will be held on Wednesday August 19th at the school in Ithaca from 12:00 to 6:30. Drop off supplies or cash donations then or to any Ithaca Lion. They hope to make this the best one yet, but can't do it without your support. Thanks for your past support.
Also, The Ithaca Lions in conjunction with NexTrex will be collecting plastic. They will have to collect 500 pounds in six months and NexTrex will donate a park bench to the Ithaca Lions which is made of recycled plastics. The collection bin location has not been announced yet. If you would start saving now, it will make the collection more successful. If you have any questions you may contact any Lion or Dick Hauser at 605-585-4808.

Ithaca Elementary is seeking a certified teacher to begin the 2020-21 school year. This candidate must be able to teach students of all ability levels. They must have a genuine interest in improving student achievement and contributing in a positive manner to the overall school environment. Desired skills include: Incorporate differentiated instructional strategies into lesson planning and lesson delivery; develop and build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents; utilize evidence-based best practices; use assessments to plan, monitor, and assess student understanding; collaborate with other professionals.
