Mrs. Pluemer’s Life Skills class prepares for next week’s observance of Red Ribbon week. The focus of Red Ribbon week is making healthy choices and staying drug-free, to be in the best position to achieve life goals.
Elementary students are encouraged to show their spirit for Red Ribbon Week with Dress Up Days! Monday is "Drug Free to me looks like..." What does being drug free look like to you? Show us!
When the internet is down, we have to get our creative juices flowing. The 5th grade students played roll a story. Ask your child tonight to share these amazing stories with you. You can even use this method at home! It's a great day to be a Bulldog!
Ithaca believes in a drug free future for our students. Join us in celebrating Ithaca Red Ribbon Week (October 28-November 1). Learn more about Red Ribbon Week with this brief history.

Mrs. Boland's 4th hour class made up of 7th graders and two 4th graders learned about scale factor. They have to use their knowledge to make a scale drawing with measurements of the classroom. The students worked hard and enjoyed this lesson.
Middle and high school students at Ithaca learned about new books to read in Mrs. Zorea's book talk presentation. Mrs. Zorea went to classrooms to pitch ten books for each grade. Book talks are an opportunity for students to learn about books available in the school library, and many titles were checked out by students that day!

The second day of our trip did not disappoint! We started the day at the Newfield Museum. We saw some amazing art exhibits, and a worker there said the value of the exhibits was in the billions! The LUME was an art display in motion all around you; finding words to describe it is hard. Then we took the garden trail to Oldfield Estate. We got to see the grounds of the mansion, the formal garden, and inside the mansion. Lots of great history, 10 out of 10 recommend! We had dinner at Izzo's on the outdoor patio, then finished the night with a haunted house.

Some of Ithaca's FFA group is traveling to the national FFA convention. On the first day of travel, we took in the Chicago skyline on the way and stopped at Fair Oaks Farm. What a great tour of the dairy facilities with one of 5 carousel parlors and the robotic milking farm. Awesome educational buildings and of course ice cream for the road!
Next stop was Purple Power boar stud and Danner Livestock. Carter Newton, a Wisconsin friend who now works there, and Chris Danner gave us a great tour. Lots of great information, stories, and advice. Always enjoy our visits there! Thanks Carter for staying late to see us! We then arrived at the Airbnb and made dinner and settled in. Great first day!
Attending this year for Ithaca FFA is Annabeth Sprecher, Alyssa Olson, Autumn McBain and Kennedy Salisbury.
