After-School Program
2022-2023
Ithaca’s After-School Care:
After-School Care will be offered again this year from school dismissal until 5:15 p.m. Pick-up time is before 5:30 p.m, no exceptions. A child has to be picked up by the parent/guardian or persons listed on the enrollment form. The parent/guardian must provide a phone number and an emergency contact (even if the school system has that information before enrollment). Enrollment forms must list one phone number. If, for any reason, the parent or guardian is not picking up, the person you have on the list will be required to show identification before After-School Care will release your child to that person. We request the parent or guardian let the Director know who will pick up their child in advance. Identification is required to pick up a child for the safety of the children. Pick up will be at the designated play area outside when weather permits. When picking up your child please use the door that has the sign after school pick up on it.
Registration and Enrollment Policy:
After-School Care begins September 1, 2022. You are invited to pre register and prepay to ensure care for your child starting the first day of school. Ensure your child's place by registering and completing payment by August 30th. Google Form here To ensure ongoing placement in the Ithaca’s After-School Care, complete the monthly registration and pay by the 10th of each month, reserving your child's spot for the following month. A student is officially enrolled in the program when registration forms are turned in, and first month fees are paid. Days to your child's schedule may be changed or added with prior approval from the program director 24 hours in advance.
Acceptance into the program is based on availability. When schedule changes occur, we request a 24-hour notice to the Director to ensure we can accommodate your wishes. We will be unable to accommodate changes under the 24-hour notice. If at any point you choose to unenroll your child from Ithaca's After-School Care, please notify the program director a week in advance. To re-enroll your child into the program, a parent/guardian must complete a new enrollment form, along with the first two weeks fees. If payment has not been received by the 10th day of the month, After-School Care will charge a late fee of $10 per day. Until all fees are paid in full, the cost will accumulate.
After-School Activities:
Ithaca's After-School Care will be Monday through Friday. After your child has completed their work during or before the Ithaca’s After-School Care, the kids will have free time. Activities in our free time will be going outside (weather permitting), arts and crafts, doing puzzles, etc. Ithaca's After-School Care is providing a snack.
After-School Care Fees:
The fee for the after-school program this year will be $3.00 per day per child, whether they attend for half an hour or until 5:15 pm.
If your child attends early release days, the fee will be $8.00 for the day.
*You will be charged for a full day of Ithaca’s After-School Care unless you notify the Ithaca School District by 8:30 am if your child is sick.* or if the child is sent home ill please notify the director and you will not be charged for that day. If you do not notify the director you will be charged for the day.
Payments: Pre-payment for every two weeks is required. Parents/guardians must give the program director an updated schedule two weeks in advance of the upcoming month.
Schedule: After-School Program is open all days students are in school. Days with no school: cancelation due to inclement weather, full-day staff professional development days, Thanksgiving break (Wednesday- Friday. ), Winter break, and spring break, there will be NO After-School Program care and there will be no fee for when school is not in session.
