Mrs. Kershner: The RISE mentor program will meet this Thursday, January 23. Please pick up your mentee at your designated time and meet in the library for a winter project. FCA will gather Thursday, January 23 for breakfast and an inspiring devotion. We meet at 7am- hope you will join us. All middle school and high school students are welcome.
From Mr. Louis: Young Investors Club will meet during HS lunch tomorrow, January 23rd in the LMC. Please bring your lunch and arrive right away.
Attention Seniors: Please take the time to stop in the office at some point this week to complete the form for how you want your name to appear on your diploma.
From the office: A single white air-pod was found in the gym a couple weeks ago - it can be claimed in the office.
From PTSO: Popcorn Friday will be this Friday, January 24. Elementary students, your classroom teacher will take your order and money. Middle School and High School students you will be able to purchase yours during breakfast, at the end of your hallways. Cost is $0.50 per bag, limit 2 bags per person. Help support the NHS!
From Mr. Klang: Friday, January 24th will be youth night and poster night for the girls’ basketball program when we host Seneca in a doubleheader. The Varsity boys will play at 5:45pm with the Varsity girls around 7:15pm. It will also be parents' night for the girls' high school team. Parents will be announced between the Varsity games. Youth teams will be announced during the halftime of the girls’ Varsity game. After the game, the high school girls will be signing posters in the commons.
From Mrs. Thompson: All forensics students are expected to meet with a coach this week, if even briefly. Our first contest is Monday, February 10th. Your coaches are eager to get you prepared!
Word of the Day: Opine (oh-PYNE): To opine is to express an opinion about something. Many people opine that social media platforms should be better regulated.
From Mr. Herbst: We will continue to announce birthdays at the beginning of the school day; however, they will no longer be listed on the announcements that are sent to the general public.
From Mr. Herbst: Parents/guardians are informed of field trips via permission slips. Unlike an athletic event or music concert, field trips are not open invitations for the general public to attend. Therefore, as a safety precaution, field trips will no longer be listed on the calendar on the District's website.
